Gorilla Waterproof Caulk & Seal 100% Silicone Sealant* is a versatile product that seals out water, air, and moisture, making it a great choice for a variety of applications, including kitchen, bath, window, door, auto, marine, plumbing, and gutter sealing. This long-lasting sealant is not only mold and mildew resistant but also won't yellow, shrink, or crack over time.
The sealant is ready for water exposure in just 30 minutes, based on a 3/16-inch bead at 70°F (21°C) and 50% humidity. If a longer curing time is needed, it's recommended to wait 24 hours before exposing the sealant to water.
To use the product, ensure that all surfaces are clean and free of dirt, grease, oil, and old sealant. It's best to use the sealant above 40°F (4°C). To apply, unscrew the cap, fold and screw-on the nozzle, and cut it to the desired bead size. Then, apply the sealant, pushing the bead ahead of the nozzle. Smooth the bead immediately after application, before a skin forms.
When it's time to open the sealant again, cut the nozzle at a 45-degree angle to the desired bead size and puncture the inner foil seal. To store the sealant, replace the cap tightly to prevent the material from curing. Store the product in a cool, dry location. If you need to reuse the nozzle, remove any cured sealant from it.
The sealant is suitable for a variety of surfaces, including stainless steel, fixtures, countertops, laminate, porcelain, sink, shower, tub/tile, granite, ceramic, gaps and cracks, painted surfaces, wood, vinyl, metal, aluminum, trim/siding, cables, glass, drywall, stone, marble, gutters, and plumbing.
It's important to note that the sealant should not be used on wet, damp, frozen, or contaminated surfaces. It's also not paintable and should not be used in underwater applications, aquariums, on brick, masonry, cementitious materials, or on metals sensitive to corrosion, including brass and galvanized metals. For general auto/marine applications only, and not for use under the hood or with direct gasoline exposure. For gaps larger than 1/2 inch, it's recommended to use a backer rod.
